Laterals - What would make you turn down a law firm offer?
If you've turned down an offer what made you turn it down? Were you looking for specific things that the firm didn't offer you/wouldn't accommodate? If so, how did you discover this information? Did it seem like a bad fit? Did you learn something from folks who work(ed) there that made you change your mind?

There’s really only one answer to this: turn down the offer if, all things considered, you think it will put you in a worse situation than your are currently. Any of the reasons you offer in the original post are valid.

I'm struggling with that. It's really hard evaluating whether what you're being told, even if it sounds great, is worth taking a risk on. As we all know, what you're told is true of the firm and what is actually true are usually two different things. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who has struggled with this.PMan99 wrote:There’s really only one answer to this: turn down the offer if, all things considered, you think it will put you in a worse situation than your are currently.
