I’m in the process of looking for a new job and I find myself worried that if I happen to land the most amazing opportunity that there’s a good likelihood that I won’t know enough to do the job well. I fear getting there and disappointing my boss/colleagues because of how much “hand-holding” I might require (at least at first). I absolutely believe in my ability to acquire the requisite skills but it’s that learning curve period that gives me anxiety. Sometimes this alone prevents me from applying to jobs.
Has anyone felt this way, made a move, felt like you didn’t know enough upon getting to you new job and it all work out in the end?
