Submitted to Same Firm 4 months Apart

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Sep 11, 2018 4:24 pm

So, I mistakenly had a recruiter I’m currently working with submit me for a currently posted role. I was working with a different recruiter months ago who was doing blind inquiries for firms without posted needs. Well, he submitted me when there was no opening. Now, I’ve been submitted twice and only realized it when the former recruiter called me about the position (not mentioning that someone else had submitted me). I’m worried about whether that will reflect poorly on me. I already told new recruiter about what happened. The firm seems interested but I’m wondering if this is something that typically disqualifies people. Thanks for your help!

Not sure if the firm would care in this situation. You didn’t apply for the opening with recruiter 1, so recruiter 1 gets nil.
