3L here. I Interviewed with a biglaw secondary office in NY just under 2 weeks ago. They emailed me early last week that they were still considering candidates and that I would hear back later in the week. Now It's past lunch on Monday and I'm getting a bit nervous... is there anything I can do to help my chances in this situation? I got a small firm job for the fall semester doing research/transactional work, and don't have any previous firm experience, so would it help to send an updated resume? Or should I wait a few more days before sending it?
Thanks.

Re: CB about 2 weeks ago. Send followup email? Updated resume?
Not sure it would help but it probably wouldn't hurt to show continued interest, particularly given that you have a fairly legit reason (updated resume) for following up. Just send recruiting an e-mail saying that you've attached an updated resume reflecting your employment this semester and remain interested in the position.

Definitely send a follow-up! I'm also a 3L and did a biglaw interview over a month ago. I sent a follow-up email after 2 weeks and didn't hear back. After that, I pretty much gave up hope but my career counselor said to follow-up again since I should get a definitive answer. So I sent another follow-up email about 2 weeks after that. Zero hope, but what did I have to lose. Today, I got an offer! Keep in mind, those follow-ups weren't even to give an updated resume or anything. They were just friendly reminders that I was still very interested in the position. So, I definitely recommend sending a follow-up. Just say you want to update a resume and highlight your new job.Anonymous User wrote:3L here. I Interviewed with a biglaw secondary office in NY just under 2 weeks ago. Hey! I actually asked for advice on the other 3L chat. Thanks for answering. Congrats again, I'm sure you're over the moon.
