Any movement on Cleary? Or any info on what their timeline looks like? For reference CB was 8/9.

If you’re in NY you likely won’t hear until after the CB Reception on 8/15

I assumed everyone was invited. I was told about it at my CB.

I was invited to a diversity reception but thats not until next week. Just didn't receive information on a regular callback reception. Maybe they're just trying to spread people throughout different receptions

I've heard that not everyone who received a callback got invited to the reception, but I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Should I view it as a positive sign, or an extra hoop to jump through to prove that I'm a functional human being?

If it's anything like the callback reception I attended last year, there are going to be so many candidates who attend that I seriously doubt they'll remember anything in particular about any candidate.

Purely speculative, but it's possible that invitations were only sent to "local" candidates.

Is there a particular purpose to the reception beyond just getting to know the firm better?

I can say with 100% certainty that the committee met yesterday and some offers went out yesterday and today.
