Lateraling Pre-Bonus
With 7 months behind us, we are now in the home stretch for bonuses. I've been considering making a geographic move for some time now and I'm wondering whether it's at all common for biglaw firms to pay a lateral's bonus if they join the firm before bonuses are paid at the firm they are leaving. My firm doesn't pay bonuses until late February, so I worry that it will throw off the timing for making a lateral move.
