any seattle firm make offers to anyone this year?
Yeah, I got three offers, all from small firms though (50 or less). Nothing so far from the larger firms.
Ah... I only hit up the big firms. Heard of any Perkins/K&L/DWT offers?
Talking with my classmates, it seems like it's just been an endless stream of dings from the big guys.
Idk about Perkins or K&L, but DWT gave out an offer.

Do you know when the CB was? I'm about 1 week in from my DWT CB, no word one way or the other.

CB was about 2-2.5 weeks ago, offer came three or four days later I believe.

OP here. Just got the ding from Perkins. Had my screenr with them back at the end of July. Zero ties to Seattle, top 10% at a T20.

Sorry to hear it. Any Seattle CBs or offers? Still just waiting here.
ETA: Top 10% at a T20 seems pretty well positioned for big law placemen, especially if we're talking UCLA/USC/WashU/Vandy/UT. Kinda surprising and disheartening that you got dinged.

I heard from a friend that Perkins dings post-CB by phone. I know s/he got dinged this season and I trust him/her. Curious what OP's experience was, especially if pre-CB.

Same here. I know one person who did a pre-OCI CB and got a pre-OCI offer and another who summered there during 1L and is returning for 2L. Pretty crazy if there have really been no post-OCI offers yet.

I'm not too surprised given my lack of ties to the area and its infamous insularity, but I do think it really puts into stark contrast how tough it is to crack Seattle.

Do you think this is good news or bad news for those of us who have already done DWT CBs?

It isn't
good news, that's for sure. But it's only bad news if the candidates are better qualified/stronger interviewers than you. FWIW, I snagged a 2L SA in Seattle and was hired over candidates that interviewed weeks after me.

Interesting, do you mind sharing when you got your offer?

I got my SA offer about 4 weeks after my callback, during the last week of September.

Wow, that seems pretty late in the season. Thank you, it gives me hope!

Hang in there! Keep mass mailing until you have an offer in hand, but remember that Seattle is (much) slower than other markets. If you haven't received a ding you're still in the game.

OP here. I wouldn't read too much into this beyond a confirmation that DWT is still in the process of filing out its summer class.
