Hi all -
I am currently a 3rd year at a Tier I school looking for ideas on firms in Houston that do transactional work and aren't super snobby about grades. Ideally midsize or smaller firms. Any ideas/help appreciated. Thanks!

Do you mean you are about to be a 3L? If so, do you have any 3L OCI interviews lined up? Have you sent applications out to firms? Not to be harsh, but you are probably late at this point. The biglaw firms are focused on OCI at this point and looking primarily for rising 2Ls to hire for next summer.Anonymous User wrote:Hi all -

As far as grades, hard to give you help unless you define what you consider "snobby" re: grades and where your school falls in Tier 1.

Re: Houston Transactional
OP here. Am a rising 3L at a T25 with below median grades. Law school is not in the area so Career Services doesn't have a great list of firms to reach out to, but I have mass mailed like crazy and taken lots of meetings with attorneys when I've been in town. Looking for names of firms other than biglaw to try and reach out to, since so far big law networking and resume submissions have turned up nada.Right2BearArms wrote:Do you mean you are about to be a 3L?
