In the past year I have come across a couple of responses saying they have received offers from Lavender Law. I'm wondering if anyone getting an offer through Lavender Law (especially as a 3L or recent grad) would like to share their experience? I went there last year as a 2L, only got a CB, no offer. This year as a 3L, I think it'll only be tougher. The 3-day Lav Law conflicts with my law school OCI. As a 3L I don't think 3L OCI is worth attending at the expense of this event, but I'm not sure if I'm making the right choice.
I would really appreciate if anyone who got offer from Lav Law could share your experience. If there's any other technique to approach a career fair as a 3L/recent grad, I'd appreciate as well. Thanks!

It could be worth it. It's no secret that firms are there to hire 2Ls at the career fair but if you can afford to go I think it's worth it. Try to network with as many attorneys as you can during the first few days of the conference. You never know, if you make a good connection with someone they may be willing to recommend you to their firm even if the firm only came with the intention of hiring 2Ls.

Not sure how wise it is to skip 3L OCI to go to lavender law. At least the firms coming to 3L OCI may actually be hiring. Is there any way you can see if you got screeners before paying the fee for lavender law?

It seems to me that as a law student, you dont have to pay the fees.2013 wrote:Not sure how wise it is to skip 3L OCI to go to lavender law. At least the firms coming to 3L OCI may actually be hiring. Is there any way you can see if you got screeners before paying the fee for lavender law?
