Summer Associate Gifts for Recruiting
Is it expected/normal for the summer associate class to get gifts for recruiting at the end of the summer? I have heard from friends at other firms (we are in DC BigLaw) that the summers pitched in to get the recruiting team gift cards, gift baskets, spa days, etc.

I think we got the head of the summer program a bottle of wine and a card. She busted her ass for us, so it was the least we could do. Y'all are poor law students, so they're not expecting something mind blowing.
