A few weeks ago, I had a round of call back interviews for an associate lateral position at an Amlaw 80-100 firm in a secondary/tertiary market. A bit more than a week ago, the practice group leader emailed me and said she is recommending that the managing committee make me an offer and that I should hear back soon.
I assumed that meant that an offer letter would be coming within a few days, but I still haven't heard anything. I realize that it's only been a bit over a week, but has anyone been through a similar experience? Assuming the terms are fair, I'm planning on accepting the offer and would like to start making moving plans (I'll be moving across the country). I'm trying not to think too much about the fact that the firm could be having second thoughts about me. At what point should I follow up? 2 weeks?
Anyone have any insight?

Re: How long after "soft" job offer to follow-up?
A week isn't long enough. If you get to 2 weeks without hearing a peep, that may be a better time to follow up.
