I am starting a clerkship in Texas and am considering looking to stay after. I did not work in Texas during the summer or go to law school in Texas (but was a summer associate in biglaw on the East Coast). Here are two questions:
(1) In Dallas, which firms have strong white collar/government investigations, securities, and antitrust litigation groups? (And, hopefully, enough work in one or all of those areas to get staffed on it).
(2) Does anyone know what the prevailing clerkship bonuses are in Dallas? Are most firms at 50k for one/ 70k for two clerkships? Or are they paying less than coastal offices?

Re: Dallas Biglaw: litigation groups & clerkship bonuses
I know Smyser Kaplan & Veselka is pretty strong in white collar, and they only hire clerks/laterals. Not sure about their bonus.
