What are some unique/interesting exit options you have gotten?

I noticed that the conventional wisdom lays out a pretty clear-cut path for what sort of exits people have after BigLaw but in my personal experience I've had a few friends get offered opportunities of the sort that I can't imagine are captured by any sort of survey, whether because they are largely one-off or because they went to some sort of small/obscure area and are happy busy enough that they don't post here. Some of these are really interesting, like litigation finance or straight to GC of an obscure but rapidly growing startup (that by now is a solid midsize business).

Honestly, these people seem like the ones who got the best deal. Out of my small sample size, a good portion are T1 or T2 grads yet they often make mid six figures (the GC obviously with equity which may or may not turn out to be worthless) and have seemingly good trajectories.

What sort of unique/obscure opportunities have you and people in your circles gotten over the years?
