At the end of my regional big law interview the partners said I would hear from them in a few days.
It is now the third business day.
Should I be concerned if I don’t hear anything by end of business today? When is it appropriate to follow up? I rly want this position and I am hoping I hear something by today. It is def driving me a bit crazy. Lol.
Thanks all.

2-3 weeks.Anonymous User wrote:When is it appropriate to follow up?
Lawyers, shockingly, are busy people. Clients come first, work that has been piling up comes second, their lives come third, and your lateral application comes in somewhere distantly below that. It's extremely important to you, I know, but it's not at the top of their to-do list. It's gonna take some time. If it comes earlier, that's wonderful, but don't expect it.Anonymous User wrote:I rly want this position and I am hoping I hear something by today. It is def driving me a bit crazy.

Re: Lateral interview
Be patient and don't follow up until a week has passed. Then, reach out and politely reiterate your interest.

Thanks.
This calmed me down a bit.
I’ll try to remain positive and patient.
