Subject says it all. No word from my V20 yet, getting anxious. Don't want to bug hr... anyone else in the same boat?

I got mine on September 15th.

that's impossible... you mean your start date IS September 15th? I'm supposed to start in the Fall (perhaps around September 15) and I assume that the Firm will give me some notice so I can make moving arrangements, etc.

If you're anxious, ask HR. That's their job. Send a nice email, mention the lovely weather and how you're excited to start in the fall, and ask if they've figured out start dates yet. Just be a human.

As a data point: a few years back, I didn't hear until mid-summer about my start date. Start date may depend on the workload of the practice group, so they might not want to decide until closer to the date.

I started October 2nd, 2017 and did not get my start date until September 15, 2017.

I think I got a call in August that they wanted me to start in September. My firm was practice group specific, so most of the other folks did not start until later in the fall.
