It sounds like you may need to quit the job anyways in order to properly prepare for the bar. Since they aren't supporting you and you clearly aren't enamored with it, that sounds like the most prudent course of action for now.

It's a bit of a conundrum - quitting the job might be the best move for passing the bar, but for securing better employment post-graduation, actually having a legal job will be seen as a big plus.

Thanks all. OP here. I will be leaving the firm in about a week to focus on bar studies in prep for the July 2018 exam. Anybody have any job suggestions? How I could make money while studying now since my firm wouldn't let me stick around?

I don't understand, why leave the job only to replace it with another job? I totally get having to work to make ends meet, but my gut reaction is work there while studying until a month out, then quit. Might burn a bridge or two though..

Of course, this is premised on you needing to work. If you can swing it, don't work and study during normal business hours now through Aug 1. The point, right now, is to get past this hump called the bar. Once you do that, many more doors will be open to you. Good luck.
