Foley Merger with Gardere
What are the implications of a merger of this type? Creating a firm of more than 1,000 attorneys?

Re: Foley Merger with Gardere
I haven't been following this one, but the effects for a junior associate are likely to be minimal. There may be more personnel changes at the mid/senior/partner level in the year or two following the merger. Practice groups may be re-organized. But most of your day to day will stay the same, and presumably most of the clients/work will not change (or they wouldn't be doing the merger). Look forward to a bunch of semi-awkward happy hours and mixers.
