networking into interview
I've been networking with an old colleague who passed along my resume to a partner of a big law firm, who then circulated my resume among different partners in related but different practice areas. There's no actual job opening at this time, though from what I've been told it looks like each of these practices could use someone at my level, and I now have a screening interview with a few partners at the firm. It sounds like they can maybe cobble together a role for me, though obviously I'm just speculating. Does anybody have any experience with this type of scenario? Do jobs like this at big law firms get created?
