Took the MPRE and long story short, I was allowed into the testing center with a prohibited item (earplugs, yes foam ear plugs) and was told 50 minutes into the test that I had committed a test center rule violation and that my exam would be flagged because of it.
First, I am irate that I was allowed to enter the room with earplugs in my plastic bag after I ASKED a proctor if I was all good when being screened to enter the testing room. However, I just want to know how my test is going to be treated with such a non-offensive rules violation.
Aside from that, does anyone know what kind of process will follow this? Will LSAC contact me first to ask what happened? Is my score really going to be voided because of these earplugs which I never would have put in had I been told by anyone at the testing center not to? I know electronics violations are a big deal, but will this really void my score?

Fairly certain you signed a piece of paper that told you what you could bring in.
I mean, they're enumerated on the do not bring list.

I am not sure how that response helps me in any way, but yes, in hindsight I am of course aware of the prohibition.
Worth noting, the list is NOT enumerated on the paper instructions printed with MPRE ticket. It is below an enumerated list of electronics not allowed and has other items listed in block paragraph format, just FYI.

Why don't you just call the MPRE people and ask?
And when they hit you with the "it's prohibited according to the website", just say then their proctor should have known. And why are they making their mistake, your problem?

Re: MPRE Exam Flagging Question HELP
That's the whole point. You're on notice to follow published rules, whether they're in your entrance ticket or the website, Which is what you used when you signed up for the test.
I mean, I don't give a shite really. I'm not ncbex.
