Asked to give back name tag?
I was at a 1L reception yesterday for a firm that I am very interested in for OCI. Because of a conflict, I had to leave 30 minutes after getting there. As I was leaving, the recruitment coordinator stopped me and asked if they could have my name tag back. Bad sign? Are they tracking people who leave early? Thanks

Re: Asked to give back name tag?
I was only asked to give back my name tag at one recruiting event. Luckily, that firm didn't have an office in the market I'm in now, and word didn't travel to my market until I was working for a good 6 months, so I was able to make some money before I got fired.

It is relatively common at lawyer events for someone to collect name tags of people who leave so you are not walking around in public wearing a name tag.
