Leaving after 8 months?

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Dec 25, 2017 1:26 pm

I'm currently a 4th year in a major market. I was at a different firm for my first 2 years, clerked for a year, and then switched to a different firm in October. My SO is looking at residencies on the West Coast and will likely match into one over there and start in June 2018. I want to go with him but, aside from the whole job search, I'm concerned about burning bridges with my current firm, especially if I might move back to this market after he's done with residency. How bad does it look to leave about 8 months after starting?

See about branches of that firm that hopefully exist on the West Coast
