An alumni hired me to work in my current firm earlier this year. I talk to this partner daily and we have a close working relationship. I actually work in a different office from this partner. I waffled for a long time on whether to send an Xmas card, and ended up deciding not to send one (seemed strange if we talk on the phone near daily for work), but at the last minute I'm wondering if I made the wrong decision. Should I send one anyway? Just as a thank-you-for-hiring-me-hope-we-can-continue-to-work-together message?
It feels a bit awkward to send, but when I think about the prospect of NOT sending one I also wonder if I'm being rude.
Any thoughts appreciated!

Re: Xmas card to partner who hired me?
Like a firm holiday card? Lol, no. They're really only for clients.
