When is it appropriate in the interviewing process to express start date preferences

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Oct 24, 2017 8:59 am

Just interviewed for two PI jobs that I'd love to take. Pay isn't posted but obviously will be a big cut from biglaw. That's not an issue for me except for loan payments. If I can stay at biglaw until April or may, though, I'll be able to completely clear my loans. Anyone been in a similar position or have any thoughts ? Obviously if they absolutely need someone to start immediately I'll be in a tough spot but if not I'm wondering how to go about this.
