Have 2 offers- White & Case and Paul Weiss? Interested in only corporate work, but not sure which specific practice area. What would people suggest? Thank you!

PW NY corporate is elite band 3
W&C NY corporate is elite band 5
Go PW unless there is something culture related you've heard or you particularly liked W&C.

^ I saw that. Does anyone know if at Paul, Weiss you're stuck doing m&a work, or can you do some of the fund formation work PW does even though it's smaller than the m&a group??

I was a summer at PW and I was under the impression you could get whatever work you were interested in if you sought it out. Corporate associates are unassigned during their first 2 years, but I believe the same principle applies. If you try to get work with the funds group and express interest, it's likely you'll get to work in that area. That said, it's probably unavoidable as a junior that you'd work on m&a and pe work, but I can't speak from experience.
