Outstanding Callbacks

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Aug 23, 2017 6:30 pm

Anyone have any outstanding callbacks (either pre-oci or from oci)? I'm talking over two and a half weeks of silence from the firm(s). How are you managing them?

I had a couple good ones, but none I would call outstanding.

Also wondering. How should I ask the firm without another offer at hand?

I think I'm at four weeks for Kellogg "Huber" Hansen, obviously pre-OCI.

Last cycle info: but had a CB with a V15 in non NYC major market, it took three weeks to hear about my offer. From talking with other summers this year it seems for some firms offer timeline can be a bit slower when you express interest in litigation as opposed to transactional work. This is purely anecdotal so take with a grain of salt, but point being your not out till you get that rejection.

In terms of dealing with informing the firm of other outstanding offers. In my experience, a simple e-mail to the recruiting contact you've worked with is enough. Just mention that you have another offer that is expiring within the next week/two weeks, but that you're very interested in their firm. Most firms will make sure to get you an answer.

Approaching two weeks here at my top choice in a large non-NYC market, and I'm dying.
