Super Day v.s. Regular Callback
Is it better to schedule your callback interview on one of the firms designated "super days" where they have a host of interviews and a reception for all the interviewees at the end? Is there a downside to scheduling a normal callback instead. Can anyone speak to the pros and cons of either?

One thing I know in particular about my 1L summer firm (anon to protect firm's identity), is that they do this to make decisions quickly. After the reception ends, they gather and discuss the interviewees, make decisions, and then can get out offers in the next day or so. With regular callbacks, because of lawyers' busy schedules, they may not get the feedback they need as quickly which can draw out the process slightly. At the same time, an easy-to-spot con is that if you make a fool of yourself at a reception or if someone extra you meet there doesn't like you, it could tip the scales against you. If you're worried about handling yourself in that setting, it makes much more sense to do a regular callback (the same way you shouldn't get lunch at the end of a callback if you're not sure how you'll do in that space as well).Anonymous User wrote:Is it better to schedule your callback interview on one of the firms designated "super days" where they have a host of interviews and a reception for all the interviewees at the end?
