Scheduled callback then rejection before the interview?
So I have a callback with a biglaw firm coming up. However, today I received an email saying "unfortunately we will not be offering you a position in our summer program." I had two screeners for different offices of this firm. The e-mail does not say a city but is written from a "firm as a whole" perspective. It's written as if I already had my callback. Should I respond or just brush it off and show up at my scheduled callback?

Call the recruiter at the office where you have a callback and ask for clarification. Coordination is not always great between offices.

Definitely call them; they may have filled the summer program and decided they don't want to waste your and their time interviewing you.

I would bet 100 bucks this is what happened. Ding at one office, callback at another, sloppy communication.SmokeytheBear wrote:byrdscales wrote:Call the recruiter at the office where you have a callback and ask for clarification. Coordination is not always great between offices.
