Gibson Dunn LA
Can anyone provide information regarding the Gibson LA office? Seems like the general consensus is its as good as it gets in Los Angeles in terms of prestige, work, and culture? How does their corporate work match up against the Latham, Skaddens, and SullCroms?

Re: Gibson Dunn LA
Gibson LA is top notch. In terms of the factors you've mentioned, the only firm better in LA is MTO. But even then, if what you want is Corporate, Gibson will give you more work in that area. From my experience, Skadden doesn't have the best rep here but Latham is obviously a big player and SC has a solid office.Anonymous User wrote:Can anyone provide information regarding the Gibson LA office? From my understanding from someone that is there, there's not that much corporate work going around for juniors. Fantastic firm, definitely go there for litigation...not sure I'd recommend for corporate even though its a great group.
(third party info, though, so, take with a grain of salt).

I know a summer there who wants to do corporate but has been fed a steady dose of lit assignments. So if you don't want to do lit at all, I'd advise against.

Re: Gibson Dunn LA
How will the prestige of Gibson LA compare to firms that have "more" corporate work available in terms of exit options?
