"The Schiltz 100 ranking is designed to indicate the best big law firms to work for as an associate. It is based on an inverse correlation between profits per partner and firm prestige. The theory is that firms with higher profits per partner leverage their associates more, meaning less quality of life for associates. Lower profits per partner mean associates are being leveraged less and hopefully have a better quality of life. Firms with higher prestige have more resources, supposedly, and better reputations, which is good for associates."

P.S. Note that this was from 2007 but there could be some logic here.
