Drug Addiction in Big Law

Post by lawstoodent » Tue Jul 18, 2017 2:57 pm

I was wondering if anyone where has seen a recent NY Times article about a partner from Wilsoni Sonsini who died of a drug addiction a couple of years ago.

Any thoughts on it? And has anyone had an experiences/known any big law lawyers with similar issues? I read about this a lot in law school, but since I've been at my firm, I haven't seen anyone exhibiting signs of addiction, though there have been plenty of signs of those with depression.

This seems like it would be relevant to a those looking for employment in big law to be aware of these (real or imagined) life-threatening dangers.
