Bar exam costs, etc. when switching firms after clerkship

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Jul 10, 2017 4:56 pm

How much of a pain is it when you switch firms after a clerkship to deal with things like the first firm paying for bar exam course, moving expenses, etc.?

I imagine this is a common problem, but I also imagine the first firm is not happy about doing paperwork over all that money out of their pocket.

I switched firms between 3L and starting work. The recruiting department in the new firm contacted the recruiting department in the old firm and worked it out. It was not very complicated, at least from my end.
