To clarify, this is for Barbri tutors and not the Barbri administrators who run the class videos, right? Because I did that a few years ago when I took the bar and I was not paid until weeks after the bar.

I don't know what you mean by "tutors" specifically, but I have been an essay grader for three bar cycles now. As far as it works for essay graders, we are independent contractors and we keep a running log of each essay we grade. We submit the entire spreadsheet at the end of the 10 week program and then we get a check a few weeks later. This is how it's worked every time, and this is common practice. It definitely adds up, so you usually get a nice check at the end. I can confirm that barbri works in a similar manner from what I learned about them when I was in talks to grade for them (I almost went with barbri, but themis paid better). As far as "tutoring" being something different though, I cannot provide any further insight.

If you are an independent contractor, you'll get paid at the end - this is common practice. If you filled out a W2, then I'd speak to them to figure out what's going on. I'd also review your employment agreement you signed with them.
