Lots of discussion on this forum about "upgrading" firms via 3L OCI and hiring.
But what about hiring during the summer after 3L?
My 2L grades are nothing to write home about, but what if I kill it as a 3L? Anyone know if firms hire at that point, as it would seem to be the only time they can truly anticipate hiring needs for the coming class?

Re: Changing Firms AFTER 3L
I'm not trying to run on your parade, but it is REALLY hard to climb the ranking ladder 3L, because soooo many grades are already in for there to be significant swings in either direction. Sure, you could run straight A+ (12-13 hours worth) and move from a 3.4 to a 3.6ish. As to your question, I guess just mass mail (presumably again) the hell out of firms. This would seem quite stressful, however, with bar prep and a commitment (hopefully) to another firm. But hey, go for it!Anonymous User wrote:Lots of discussion on this forum about "upgrading" firms via 3L OCI and hiring.

Re: Changing Firms AFTER 3L
Bump here. Has anyone, in past years, tried to apply to firms during 3L, as in mid-semester or during winter break?
