Tell me about Kirkland SF please
Considering a lateral (5th year) to Kirkland & Ellis, SF office.
Going to be doing Litigation there, securities/fcpa/investigations type stuff.
I know nothing about the office or Kirkland, aside from what I've read on Chambers/Vault.

A lot of attorneys in that office were sent from Chicago and other Kirkland offices to start practice groups in SF. So a lot of transplants that are generally stoked about living in San Francisco.
People say that it is fratty and competitive, but if you are coming from a non-CA market like DC, NY, IL you will probably find it to be laid back.

Interesting, thanks. What do you mean competitive? Like associates hoarding hours? Refusing to help each other?
