Question
So what's the deal with magic circle firms like linklaters? I am fluent in one of the languages they look for, but i'm only top 20% from a TT/TTT. Is it a firm that I can get or is it one of those elite firms out of reach for TT grads?

Re: Question
Language skills don't matter so much, business will be conducted in English. It's like a small plus at best unless you're going abroad.
Generally, their US offices are comparatively small, and they draw most of their recruits from T14s or top students from other NYC area schools. Hard to say given that I don't know where you attend, but you're probably out of luck.
