Does anybody know the relative grade cutoff for
Bryan Cave and Cadwalader?
I'm considered AA at a T-20 but I suffered a major blow to my first year GPA and I'm sitting at a 2.9ish. I'm also bilingual but I'm unsure how much that'll come into play.

You have a 10% chance and luck and prayer from landing Big Law. 2.9 is near or below median. But you still must apply to anything and everything, but know your hopes and dreams should not be Big Law but any gainful employment.

You really should be asking your school about this directly. OCS should have exact numbers for you and be able to give you guidance on bidding.

You have almost no chance. Cad cut its summer program last year over half in size. Some major markets don't have a single summer anymore.
People with better grades at t13 strike out. You need to start thinking about what you will do when you don't get big law.

Not looking good unless you are a minority, have provable powerful connections, or your dad is the POTUS (even then . . . .)

grades??, try the same sentences but with a few words to indicate empathy or, at least, sympathy.
You'll be amazed with the difference it makes in terms of reaction.

That is a really odd pairing of firms to ask about. How did you arrive at those?

Not sure why these two in particular. You need to apply everywhere and go to diversity fairs. Your big law chances are small, but most important thing is getting a job so don't focus on specific firms. Apply everywhere in the markets you want to work

No chance. Cad has halved its summer program. Some major markets no longer hire.
Stronger students at better schools strike out. Make backup plans.

Hm, I don't think so.

Because the goal here isn't to relay information, it's for strangers on the internet to think you're a swell guy.nyu2019maybeplease wrote:grades??, try the same sentences but with a few words to indicate empathy or, at least, sympathy.

OP asked what their chances were. Their OCS knows better than we do, but Cadwalader's almost definitely not in the cards.

Thinking the purpose of empathy/sympathy is to get people to like you = peak TLS.
You say goal is deliver information. If that's the case, why give people a chance to think about anything other than the info?
Just tryna help, friend.
