Do LLM grades matter post-first job?

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Mar 22, 2017 6:40 pm

Looking to try to lateral out of my current job (accounting firm) to a smaller/midsize firm. How much do my LLM grades matter? My LLM grades were a mess when I graduated (almost 2 years ago).

Experience generally matters more than grades after graduation, but some employers (especially biglaw) will take them into consideration. Smaller firms are idiosyncratic- it's going to depend on the personal preferences and biases of the person hiring.

That sucks. Some of the firms I'm looking into are technically biglaw
