Hey everyone,
I'm currently attending UC Berkeley Law but I cannot seem to get any H's for the life of me. UCB has "no" grading system, so you either get a P for pass, H for honors, or HH for double honors. It's a tough school and I can't seem to outcompete my fellow classmates (all are really smart--some PHDs, former bankers, etc.). Is it possible to get Ps and get a job at a big firm? Or should I aim high but realistically look at midsize/boutique firms? Thanks!

What year are you? Assuming you're a 2L, what happened during OCI? I do know people with straight Ps who got good biglaw jobs. But they had solid work experience and (I think) interview well. Have you spoken to career services?abraham559 wrote:Hey everyone,

I'm actually a 1L and just got through my first semester. I'm trying to stay hopeful but after meeting with professors, I basically did well on the exams but not as well as other students apparently. Any advice going into OCI?Anonymous User wrote:What year are you? Assuming you're a 2L, what happened during OCI? I do know people with straight Ps who got good biglaw jobs. Talk to your professors, because it's possible you were on the cusp. Bottom score gets the same grade as the 59th percentile.

One semester is too soon to say you can't get anything but Ps. Make sure you understand *why* other people did better, and do that.
