1L Summer Job Acceptance Etiquette

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Jan 08, 2017 4:28 pm

I've applied to mostly nonprofits this summer, and have a few interviews lined up. The turn around on these few applications was fairly quick, and while I'd be happy to work for any of them, I have a few dream job type places where I'd really like to intern this summer. I applied to those at the same time as the others, but haven't heard anything yet.

If I were to get an offer with any of these jobs I'm interviewing with, how long can I wait before giving them an answer? I'm hoping to hear from these other places soon, but a couple have application deadlines that don't even close for a while, so I'm not sure what the standard practice is with this type of thing. Any guidance appreciated.

Often what will happen is they will give you a deadline. If they don't, this is something your OCS is there for to help you with.
