Do Firms reimburse for MPRE?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Nov 03, 2016 5:29 pm

Going to register for March MPRE when it opens. Going to New York big law full time in the fall and my offer letter says they reimburse for bar expenses. Does this typically include MPRE? I don't want to ask if this includes the MPRE if that's an outrageous question and it will make me look really cheap, but if it is common then I wouldn't mind the 80 bucks.

Most big law firms do reimburse for the MPRE.

Yeah "bar expenses" is construed liberally. Mpre, the endless fees you have to pay to take the bar and get licensed, etc.

Did you guys pay on the MPRE site by providing firm info or did you email your firm and ask for reimbursement? For some reason it never occurred to me firms pay for this, but of course they do.
