Post by Anonymous User » Sat Oct 22, 2016 9:00 pm

I basically know nothing about tax, so how do I

a. Get them to believe I care about tax
b. spin my non-tax experiences as tax
c. get them to hire me

you should probably post what specialty it is/where it is/what kind of experience you have.

Read some tax articles and proposed changes in the regs. I had a few big 4/WTAS offers and they all asked if I keep up with tax news/blogs. If you can demonstrably knowledge with tax documents that's good too, i.e. do you do your own taxes. Also make sure you can explain a code section/tax topic to someone who knows nothing about tax (another FAQ). PM me if you want.
