I know this question has been asked to death here, but I am still unable to find a reliable answer.
You can all keep your judgment to yourself, but I am asking if east coast DA/SA offices conduct drug screenings pre-employment, and if so, what do they test for?
I assume the regulars- street drugs, probably aderoll, etc. I would like to know if they also test for anti-anxiety meds and if so, is there a privacy issue? I am on some commonly abused medications under doctor prescription and supervision. Will that be a potential problem?
In sum:
1. do they test? which offices?
2. for what?

The issue is that I am unsure how I feel about disclosing altogether.Anonymous User wrote:With a doctor's prescription, it should not be an issue.

Re: DA offices and drug screenings
I worked for a DA's office a few years ago and was instructed to bring any prescription meds with me to the pre-employment drug test. I brought my prescription for a commonly abused sleep medication, and it was fine.
