Re: Venable - DC
I worked there prior to law school in the DC office. It was a great place to be. Honestly, if I wanted to move back to DC I would go back there post law school (I am now a rising 2L). But I thought the people were really great, and the practice group I worked in had a ton of exciting work going on. It is a very DC firm, with a lot of government relations work, but I would recommend it to anyone. Since I worked there they have moved into really nice offices, also.

Haven't worked there, but know some people who do. I don't *think* they pay market, but other than that I've heard good things.

They are market the first 3 years, after that it's in a range. But the associates I spoke to said it was more than fairAnonymous User wrote:Haven't worked there, but know some people who do. I don't *think* they pay market, but other than that I've heard good things.

Yeah - never heard any associates complain about it, but just something that might factor into decision making.Anonymous User wrote:They are market the first 3 years, after that it's in a range. Was there as an SA this summer. Loved it. People are awesome. Work was great. They just moved into a new building and its really nice. They have their own firm cafe and the food is really good (and cheap!). Sometimes it's the little things.
