Firms that hire 3Ls for litigation?
Now that OCI has shaken out, the only offers I have are at firms I'm not thrilled with. I wanna do litigation. Is there much of a market for 3Ls in litigation, aside from at Quinn? Or is sticking it out at my current firm for a few years, clerking, and trying to "upgrade" my firm that way the only viable option? To the extend that it matters I don't have any IP background or anything like that--I'm talking bread-and-butter commercial / white collar / securities type work.

Just went through 3L OCI for litigation. I got an offer somewhere other than Quinn, but it was kind of a crapshoot. A lot of firms weren't hiring 3Ls, or they were only hiring 1 person for a specific practice group. That said, I don't think it hurts to apply at the end of the summer if you're unhappy with your current firm (but make sure you still get an offer).

I got the sense that for litigation the best route is to try hard for a clerkship and then look for a different firm then.
