E-mail Partner I networked with?

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Sep 09, 2016 9:08 pm

I networked with a Partner that heads a niche financing group over the summer I have experience in, we got coffee one afternoon. OCI did a screening interview with his firm which turned into a CB. They are only hiring one SA to be a part of that niche group. Had the CB today, but the lead partner I got coffee with was on vacation and didn't take part of. Can I e-mail him saying I'm interested? Hes not the hiring partner but most likely will have a decision on who joins his group.

My initial reaction was that you should not email the partner, but I like the approach of the anon above. I think an email along those lines is a good idea.

Thanks guys, it was important during my interview that they find a SA that wasn't going to leave, so I thought an e-mail expressing my continue interest was a good idea, even if my resume showed that I was interested.
