Boston Litigation-Latham v. Goodwin v. Choate?

Post by Undecided456 » Fri Sep 09, 2016 9:39 am

Anyone have advice on choosing between Latham, Goodwin, and Choate in Boston for litigation? Very conflicted and need to make a decision ASAP. I eliminated other biglaw firms in Boston already for a variety of other reasons - it's just down to these 3.

I'd put Latham out immidiately. It's such a small player in the market compared to the other two. To distinguish the other two, what type of lit? General? IP?

FWIW I'm not sure Goodwin boston for non-corporate work is a great decision.

I'm interested in general litigation, but may also have an interest in white collar/government enforcement work. The attraction of Latham is that it is a developing office and seems to have a lot of opportunity for associates to stand out, but you're right, it's not a big player in the Boston market right now.

Regardless of it developing right now, with your other two options, Latham should be dropped unless you have a seriously compelling reason. As far as other two are concerned if lean choate
