Send a CB follow up e-mail?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Sep 08, 2016 8:44 pm

Had a CB last Thursday. Was told they were looking for only 1 SA (San Francisco), I was the last person they were interviewing, and I would be hearing back "very soon." Its been a week and radio silence, I just want to know if they offered the position to someone else and I'm stuck waiting for that person to decide.

Hey,

dumb question-- what does a CB entail? I received an email from a firm stating that my application is under review and that a recruiter will be in touch in a few weeks. Is that email considered a CB as opposed to the "ding" emails that I received stating that my application isn't being considered for candidacy any more?

your insight is appreciated.

Most firms, at least in my experience, will specifically say "we would like to extend a callback"

That scenario could be the case but it could also be that they just want to interview everyone and then decide. I think it's smarter to wait at least another week since otherwise you might come across impatient and/or desperate.

E: I definitely sympathize as I had waited 3.5 weeks for my first CB before emailing. . . The wait can suck. Still, you can't retrieve an email you send.
