Very, very torn. Would really appreciate some advice since my school's career office doesn't seem to care once you have an offer somewhere.
Have a tech background, interested in IP, but want options to explore other work. Yes, NYC and DC are very different, but besides a slight edge to DC for location, I'm mostly interested in long-term career ramifications. As far as I know now, I would like to stay at whichever firm I choose - not really looking to exit.
I'm ambivalent about Kirkland's free market system, so maybe slight edge Covington for work environment, but edge Kirkland for the (shattering!) bonuses.
Anyone have any insight about the long-term career pro/cons here for someone who will likely do IP work, but wants options?
Side note: have SV offer as well I wasn't seriously considering. For IP work am I being silly not to consider it? Not mentioning name for anonymity reasons.
Kirkland (NY) vs. Covington (DC) for IP Forum
