Re: Reed Smith CB --> Offer
If you end up receiving an offer, only take it as a last resort. Wish I had known before I joined Reed Smith that they had such large salary compression after you hit year 3. Lock-step firms are definitely the way to go in biglaw.
Reed Smith also had layoffs in January and I've heard there may be more layoffs coming before next January, when their delayed raises take effect.

Also, the LA office has some seriously depressed attorneys. Good thing those windows don't open.Anonymous User wrote:If you end up receiving an offer, only take it as a last resort. Curious about this as I really liked RS. What would you define as a "large" salary compression? Could you give percentages?Anonymous User wrote:If you end up receiving an offer, only take it as a last resort.
