Deciding between these two. Interested in corporate.
Which firm is better in terms of:
-prestige
-quality of work
-hours (sounds like Kirkland Corporate folks are are billing 2500 hours)
-job security (lasting 5 years)
-atmosphere (I hear debevoise is 'nicer' and that Kirkland is cutthroat)

The Kirkland "cutthroat" rep is overblown IME. Yes people work hard there, just like every Biglaw firm. The free market/open assignment system is not really that scary but for those on the end of the introversion scale it probably wouldn't be good.

Is attrition any higher at Kirkland? I see that they higher alot of laterals.
